Position Overview
Responsible for assisting the Student Ministries Department in managing the day to day demands of the ministry, particularly supporting Sunday and Wednesday student ministry events for middle school and high school students. Plan gatherings that are both fun and stimulating for the student’s spiritual growth. Engage students in mission oriented activities. Also responsible for interdepartmental communications, scheduling and event planning.
Primary Job Functions
- Win Students to Christ and ensure they are discipled and deployed in service
- Partner with the Student Ministry Leadership Team as well as the Student Ministry assistant.
- Plan, organize, lead and evaluate ministry events, including Wednesday Evening events, Sunday morning Bible Study, camp, and missional events
- Nurture positive relationships with the students and their parents
- Determine curriculum for student ministry bible study
- Ensure Membership/Outreach database Management through Shelby Software
- Ensure Attendance Records distribution on Sundays
- Track Attendance at all events
Secondary Job Functions
- Track Statistical Growth
- Determine and ensure timely ordering of Student Teaching Curricula
Requirements
- Attend weekly staff meeting as well as Discipleship Dept Meeting
- Share responsibilities with other team partners as negotiated
- Submit monthly Staff Management Report and have 1-1 with Pastor or designated supervisor
- 45+ hours per week
Other Skills/Abilities
- Public Relations role with the public as well as Westside Membership
- Teaching ability
- Administrative skills for managing objectives, statistics and events

General Description:
The Lead Student Ministry Pastor will equip and empower all leaders that help maintain the daily life of the Student ministry. They will provide pastoral support and administrative ingenuity for the Student Ministries 7-12 grade through Prayer, Coaching, and Communication.
The Midweek service is Wednesday Night, 6:30 pm. to 8:00 pm.
There is not a Sunday AM. Youth Service. Youth attend main service. |

PRAYER

- Seek Gods purpose and direction for the student ministry
COACHING
STRATEGY
- Recruit and develop a team of leaders
- Meet regularly with ministry leadership team.
- Attend one adult worship service a week.
- Be a team player with other areas of ministry.
- Oversee the Student Ministry budget and calendar of events as well as their planning and implementation.
- Develop a teaching team to assist in weekly teaching and speaking responsibilities
VISION
- Maintain clear communication between Church leadership and Student Ministry leadership.
- Coach leaders to lead there area of ministry as they discover their abilities and potential.
- Lead with integrity and intentionality. Everything will be done with purpose and clarity.
COMMUNICATIONS
PASTOR
- Empower leaders and students to be spiritually challenged and fed.
- Teach the Word of God without compromise.
- Maintain Student Ministry Platform speaking at least 3x a month.
- Support the senior pastor and his vision for the church.
- Support and care spiritually and physically for leadership, students and their families involved with Student Ministries

- Help maintain a creative and effective ministry through service planning and leadership development.
