Life on The EDGE is a big classroom!
Living with other students while taking practical missions courses and serving in the context of another culture is what the EDGE program is all about. Each year Grace University collaborates with various mission organizations in , , and to implement this unique overseas study program. A pilot program is presently underway in .
EDGE teams of six to ten students live, study, and minister together for six months as well as complete up to 18 credit hours of . University professors, qualified mission personnel and national leaders serve as instructors. Students from any major can participate. It's a great way to earn regionally accredited transferable college credit while completing a degree at another college.
Subjects such as Cultural Anthropology, Intercultural Communication, and World’s Living Religions are covered by caring people experienced in intercultural life and ministry. Instructors presently include people from India, the Philippines, Malaysia, Canada, and the United States.
The EDGE allows students to pursue a variety of specialized interests including Teaching English as a Second Language , Administration, youth work, children’s ministry, psychology, urban ministry, and a foreign language emersion experience.
