It was very mind-opening to spend 3 weeks teaching in a small Mexican school for my ESL practicum.  My experience as an education major at Grace had given me tools I needed in order to be creative and inventive in finding ways to teach the students English in a way they could understand.  God also used this time to stretch me and to learn reliance on him in the most uncertain situations.  I really think that Grace has one of the most cutting edge programs with the integration of an ESL certificate with all education majors.  As the classrooms in the U.S. and beyond are very multicultural, at Grace we as teachers are being equipped with tools to reach all students.
