EDGE Europe offers students the opportunity to experience daily life and ministry alongside GEM personnel in the country of Portugal . Students gain hands-on experience and a greater understanding of the challenge of cross-cultural ministry amongst Europeans.

Brad says: “Servanthood is difficult for me, but Christ solidified my desire to commit myself to a life of service.  While on the EDGE we volunteered at an orphanage in Romania , which I did not enjoy.  I came back to celebrate the holidays with my family and God showed me how much He has given me and now my perspective on being at the orphanage is different.  Holding babies, changing diapers is still not fun, but I can serve and worship Christ by serving and loving the babies.  Service has become less about me and more about Christ’s love for people.”
