Scholarships and grants are forms of aid that help students pay for their Grace University education. Unlike loans, they do not have to be paid back. Scholarships and grants come from a variety of university, federal, state, and private sources.
Institutional Scholarships and Grants
The University is committed to keeping costs down. We offer quality education at a lower total cost then for many private regionally-accredited institutions. It is very important when comparing costs that you focus on the total expense after financial aid, rather than merely the size of any scholarship awards. Grace University wants you to enjoy a Christ centered education. As in incoming student you can qualify for the following awards.

Any scholarships you receive in addition to your need-based financial aid will change the composition of your financial aid eligibility. In most cases, we allow outside scholarships to reduce the student loans or Federal Work-Study in your financial aid package. Total of institutional scholarships and grants can not exceed the cost of tuition. Each situation must be reviewed in light of availability of funds, state and federal regulations, and the university's financial aid policies.
Returning students should check with financial aid concerning scholarships which may pertain to their major. Students will be evaluated on their academic performance and may be requested to submit applications for scholarships to their major. All scholarships require that a student maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress in order to receive aid and some will require a higher GPA to maintain their award.
Federal and State Grants
. These require you to file a FAFSA and meet criteria determined by the state and federal government. Nebraska also has a grant program for Pell eligible students who are residents of Nebraska. Apply early to see if you are eligible for any of these awards.
Federal regulations require that we consider all of your resources when determining your eligibility for financial aid. As a result, receipt of additional scholarships awards will most likely affect your eligibility for financial aid. Any changes of your financial aid eligibility will be sent to you in a Revised Estimated Award Letter as soon as the Financial Aid Office is aware of the change. If you are a recipient of an outside award that is not listed on your statement, you must notify our office and we will adjust your financial aid package accordingly and send you a revised statement.
