Stromsburg Baptist Church (Stromsburg, NE) is looking for a youth ministry intern for the summer months (June-August). This is a full-time position aimed at strengthening the discipleship ministry of our youth group and exploring future youth ministry opportunities.
The purpose of the Youth Ministries Summer Intern program at Stromsburg Baptist Church is to (1) further develop and equip those who sense a calling to serve the Lord through ministry to teenagers and to (2) serve the body of Stromsburg Baptist Church and the Pastor by providing leadership to our summer youth ministries in order to fulfill the SBC Vision Statement for youth ministry.

Media Intern

Job Description:
Shoot and edit a short film set to music each week of camp, author, and duplicate DVDs. Create camper orientation videos. Oversee evening program details: spotlight, lighting, camera operating, EasyWorship and sound board. Take digital photos and develop a 3-5 minute slideshow each day of camp for the Evening Program. Maintain media equipment; coordinate with staff to aid with photography and AV. Lead Media Major LITs in assignments and training. Arrange cabin photos for printing and publishing to website each week. Complete a compilation DVD for summer staff at end of season, and recruiting video.

Nursing Intern
Summer Ministry with The OAKS Camp (6/6– 8/1)

• Assist our Registered Nurse in all aspects of their responsibilities including:
o Review and process camper Medical Forms.
o Help with intake procedures for campers during registration.
o Provide coverage and treatment for camper first aid issues and emergencies up to your level of training during scheduled duty hours.
o Issue camper medications at meals and other times as scheduled.
o Provide on-call coverage some evenings of the week in the infirmary.
o Care for ill or injured patients in the infirmary.
• Help with camp program under supervision of the Director of Youth Ministries as time allows.
o Possibilities include:
o Work in the camp store during the afternoon. Must be able to leave to treat campers.
o Assist with a morning class. Must be able to leave to treat campers.
o Help with evening games.
o Assist in other areas as needed during orientation weeks and at other times.

Resident Counselor
Advent Group Ministries
ADVENT GROUP MINISTRIES is a team of Christians with a mission of bringing hope, healing, and Christ’s love to hurting children and their families. We provide personal care through a professional staff of counselors and social workers and a network of well-trained volunteers. Our purpose is to meet the needs of troubled and abused youth and adults through Christian love and therapeutic services.
The Summer Intern Resident Counselor assumes a supportive and trainee role to the Supervising Resident Counselor. The Summer Intern is trained in the job of Resident Counselor and will acquire the training to fulfill the job of a full-time Resident Counselor in phases during a period of 10 weeks.
The Resident Counselor opening is a live-in position responsible for the overall care and supervision of six behaviorally/emotionally disturbed and/or chemically dependent adolescents. This job is ideal for someone who has majored in one of the social sciences, or simply has a heart to help hurting youth. Staff implement an individualized treatment plan for each youth while living with the adolescents 4 days a week. This is done within the context of an interdependent staff treatment team.
