Grants and Scholarships

Scholarships and grants are forms of aid that help students pay for their education, but do not have to be paid back. Scholarships and grants come from a variety of university, federal, state, and private sources.

Grace Scholarship Application

The Grace Scholarship Application is used to determine what specific financial aid you are eligible for from Grace University. For any early estimate of Federal and Institutional aid, fill out the application after October 1st. The priority deadline for this is March 1st. This application needs to be filled out yearly by all students in order for them to receive financial aid from Grace University.

You can complete the scholarship application here.

Receiving More the You Need

Any scholarships you receive in addition to your need-based financial aid will change the composition of your financial aid eligibility. In most cases, we allow outside scholarships to reduce the student loans or Federal Work-Study in your financial aid package. The total of institutional scholarships and grants cannot exceed the cost of tuition. Each situation must be reviewed in light of availability of funds, state and federal regulations, and the university's financial aid policies.

Scholarships Pertaining to Major

Returning students should check with financial aid concerning scholarships which may pertain to their major. Students will be evaluated on their academic performance and may be requested to submit applications for scholarships to their major. All scholarships require that a student maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress in order to receive aid and some will require a higher GPA to maintain their award.

Federal and State Grants

Federal grants include Pell, FSEOG, ACG, and SMART grants. These require you to file a FAFSA and meet criteria determined by the state and federal government. Nebraska also has a grant program for Pell eligible students who are residents of Nebraska. Apply early to see if you are eligible for any of these awards.
